About the Song
In 2005 our community and Church leaders were preparing for a grand celebration to acknowledge 100 years since the organization of our Stake. The organizers asked if I could write an anthem for the occasion. After much prayer and thought, I composed the SATB anthem, Praise Be to God, with piano accompaniment and a few additional instruments. We performed it in the morning for Stake Conference, without the extra instruments. Then we added the Cello, Violin, Tubular Bells, and Trumpet for the evening’s Anniversary Celebratory Event. Compliments flooded in, with many saying, “The morning presentation was beautiful. But the evening performance was electrifying!”
Praise Be to God is available as strictly SATB with piano accompaniment for the choir members. The full score and individual instrumental parts are available separately.
