The Good Shepherd: An Easter Cantata

As with nearly everything I have composed, it was in response to a request that the Easter Cantata, The Good Shepherd was written. After thoroughly studying and reviewing the life of Jesus Christ, I tried to imagine what it would have been like to have lived at that time and had personal experiences with the Savior of the World. As I began writing the concluding song of the cantata, this profound truth came to mind, very clearly: I can know, as surely now as those who have been in His physical presence, that Jesus is the Christ; that he loves me, just as he does every person who has ever lived or will yet live upon the earth. His entire life and mission was to save!
